Meet The Founder

Chrissybil Boulin is passionate about education and youth empowerment. Sybil grew up in the South Florida area and earned an Associate degree from Florida State University and two Bachelor’s degrees from Emory University. 

In 2017, Sybil became the first Haitian American to earn a master’s degree in Development Economics from the University of Cambridge. 

Tutoring fellow classmates at the age of 12, Chrissybil has a natural gift for teaching others and has always been very passionate about helping students gain the confidence and critical thinking skills needed to become successful. 

At the age 28, Sybil has dedicated most of her life to supporting children through education.

Chrissybil is a Global Youth Ambassador to the UN and is a champion for learning. In 2014, she served as the Intel for Change Educational Ambassador to India, advocating for economic development and self-actualization through empowering rural girls’ right to access formal learning. 

Her non-profit – Merkabah International Foundation – focuses on empowering pre-existing schools in Haiti through school supply drives, classroom research, curriculum development, and mindfulness. 

In 2018, she founded Jump Start Tutoring Center, an at-home and online private tutoring company that serves students in grades K to 12 with test prep, college entrance, and educational consulting in South Florida and across the U.S. 

Chrissybil has traveled to over 40 countries and has taught students internationally. She speaks English, Creole, French, and Spanish.

It’s truly been a blessing for us to serve our community. In only two years, we have been so honored to work with hundreds of kids to save students thousands of dollars on college admissions through their dedication and strong academic work. 

Most importantly we are excited to continue helping children gain confidence, think critically, and believe in themselves! We’re very grateful and as time continues we want to ensure that we keep quality education through building critical thinking skills and innovation as our top priority. 

Starting Jump Start Tutoring and having the incredible opportunity to support our students is one of the things in this life that I’m the most proud and grateful for! We are inspired daily by our incredible tutors and staff who go above and beyond for our students! 

Truth is we’ve only scratched the surface of what we aspire to and the best is yet to come. I am deeply humbled for the opportunity to serve our children!
